Cherry Blossoms and Sushi Picnic at Shinjuku Gyoen

Amidst the chaotic scene in Tokyo, there are quiet parks you can visit in the city to breathe and unwind. We decided to take time out from all the non-stop walking and headed to Shinjuku Park to enjoy a sushi picnic under its cherry blossom trees.

If you’d like to see local life, spend a quiet afternoon in this park, or another recommended is Yoyogi park. Strolling around the park and seeing the different types of cherry blossom bloom was a very zen experience!

I was so glad they were selling ice cream in the park! How perfect could this afternoon stroll get?

Shinjuku park is definitely a great stopover if your feet are tired from all the walking and commuting!
